Kobuleti is located in Ajara on the very shore of the Black Sea, 25 km away. from m. Batumi. It is located at a height of 3-4 meters. above sea level.

The main healing factor of the resort is the warm and humid climate of the Black Sea. To achieve the maximum therapeutic effect, thalassotherapy and other medical procedures are combined here.

Kobuleti is a small town 21 km north of Batumi. There are only 2 streets in the city, which stretch for 9 km in length and are located in parallel. The same long sand and pebble beach stretches along the coast. The main advantage of the resort is that there is never a “full house” on the beach, because everyone can find a free spot within 9 km. At the same time, the infrastructure in Kobuleti is well developed: there are many hotels, guesthouses, cafes and restaurants. Since it takes half an hour by car from Kobuleti to Batumi, tourists can see many Batumi sights and also travel to Turkey. The most popular excursions among tourists are visits to the huge Botanical Garden in Batumi and the town of Mahindzhauri, which specializes in treating various diseases with mineral waters.

Attractions in Kobuleti
The ten-kilometer-long Kobuleti beach is a real gem of the city. The beach belongs to the city, which means there is no dirt or paperwork, and every evening and morning this long coastline is thoroughly cleaned. Here you can simply lie in a sun lounger under an umbrella, swim in the clear sea, or rent a yacht, catamaran, scooter and ride along the sea surface. And after swimming, you can go to local cafes to drink delicious Georgian tea. In the evening, you should definitely visit a restaurant where you will be served the most delicious Georgian dishes and world-famous Georgian wine.

Cicinatela Park is a must-see place for those who come to rest in Kabul. The name of the park can be translated as “Firefly”. Indeed, in the evenings and at night, and the specificity of the park is that it works at night and in the evenings, many lights and lights are turned on.
The park is very clean and well maintained. There are trash cans at almost every corner, and you just can’t help but throw a piece of candy or a cigarette butt on the clean asphalt or on the lawn. And such cleanliness is almost the hallmark of Cicinatelli.
You should start your exploration of the park by visiting the Ferris wheel. However, keep in mind that there are no exchange offices in the park, and in order to buy a ticket for a particular attraction, you should stock up on GEL in advance. In addition, all tickets for attractions can be purchased only at the entrance to the park. There are no ticket offices on the territory of Svetlyachok.

The Ferris wheel is a great opportunity to explore and admire the surroundings of the park and the city of Kobuleti. However, you should go for a ride before dusk, as you can hardly see anything in the dark. The Black Sea, mountains, towns and villages… And, of course, the desire to look at all this beauty literally an infinite number of times.
Extreme sports enthusiasts will definitely enjoy another attraction – Free Fall. In this case, you are lifted high and high up in a special booth and then lowered down in free fall. The sensations, I must say, are unforgettable!
Another popular attraction for adults is the Kamikaze. The essence of this attraction is that a 2-person booth is spun and twisted in different directions. It is very, very difficult to refrain from shouting loudly here.
There are also many attractions for children, both very young – 2-3 years old – and for older ones. Kids will love the railroad, and older children will enjoy a variety of carousels and swings.

The Kobuletsky Museum of Local Lore is another place in the resort town on the Black Sea that is worth a visit. The museum opened in 2012. It was opened by a few enthusiasts in a building that used to be an ordinary movie theater. The museum itself is one large exhibition hall. The main exhibition exhibits are numerous archaeological finds that were found in Kobulet and in the vicinity of the city during excavations. They all belong to completely different eras.
There are clothes and utensils, weapons and tools, and even antique furniture from Georgian homes. And all these exhibits are not just lying in the windows. They are located in a real mini-house of a peasant and his workshop.
In the museum you can also see the wonderful works of local sculptor Vazhi Verulidze. His ebony sculptures are a real highlight of the exhibition.
Tours of the museum are conducted by the director himself, who will tell and show all his treasures to every Russian visitor in Russian. But the inscriptions to the exhibits in the museum are only in Georgian, and in some places you can see duplicate inscriptions in English. That’s why the story of the tour guide, the director, will be very appropriate.

 

Kobuleti Pichvnari is a landmark on the Black Sea coast of Georgia. Here, on the territory of 100 hectares (10 km north of Kobuleti), there is an archaeological site dating back to the II-I millennium BC.
Several layers are clearly visible here: the pre-antique layer, the classical layer, the Hellenistic style, and the early feudal layer. In addition, several craft districts and places of worship have been excavated here. During the excavations, a huge number of various items were discovered and transferred to museums in Georgia.

The Akaki Tsereteli Monument in Kobuleti is another attraction in Kobuleti. Years of life of this outstanding Georgian poet, writer, and thinker: June 9, 1840-January 26, 1915. Until the end of his life, this man was an enemy of the tsar and serfdom. In his famous works “Song of the Workers”, “Imereti Lullaby”, “The Dagger”, “Desire”, “Tsitsitsinatela”, “Suliko”, “Dawn”, “Chonguri”, “Tarnike Eristavi”, “Natela”, he glorified his homeland, his beloved Georgia. After his death, this famous Georgian was buried in the Mtatsminda Pantheon in Tbilisi.

And be sure to visit the Kobuleti seaside park. Exotic trees grow here, benches are placed everywhere, and from any place in the park you can enjoy a magnificent view of the sea and the beach.

Mineral springs of Kobuleti

There are mineral springs two kilometers from the town. According to the Institute of Balneology and Physiotherapy, Kobuleti mineral water belongs to the group of medium-mineralized sodium chloride thermal waters. The water is used as a medicinal mineral water for table use in case of chronic diseases of the digestive system (gastritis, enteritis, colitis), metabolic disorders (diabetes mellitus, obesity, uric acid diathesis, gout, etc.), liver, gallbladder, kidney and urinary tract diseases.
Despite its low mineralization, the water is used for bathing. The baths are prescribed for the following diseases: circulatory disorders (hypertension, obliteration of blood vessels of the extremities, varicose veins, etc.), diseases of the osteoarticular system (arthritis, spondylosis, etc.), diseases of the nervous system, skin (psoriasis, neurodermatitis, etc.), gynecological diseases, primary and secondary chronic pyelonephritis in remission.
