Dear colleagues, we would like to draw your attention to the following,
that the government of Bali plans to introduce a tourist tax for foreign tourists from February 14, 2024.

It amounts to 150.000 IDR (approximately 10 USD)*.

Objectives of the international tourist tax in Bali:
1. Preservation of culture
2. Environmental protection
3. Improving the tourist experience

The fee applies to all foreign tourists visiting Bali, regardless of nationality and age. There are no exemptions for children, and the tax applies to both individuals and tourist groups.
The fee is charged on entry, which means that if tourists leave Bali and re-enter the island, they will have to pay the tax again. The tax also applies to tourists arriving in Bali from other parts of Indonesia by land or domestic flights. So, regardless of whether tourists arrive from Jakarta or take a ferry from Lombok, they will need to pay tax upon arrival in Bali.

*The above fees are subject to change at any time.
